In 2007 Norway became the third biggest donor to the United Nation’s development and humanitarian efforts. It was only surpassed by the United States and Britain. In the two years prior, Norway was ranked sixth and fifth.
The UN received a total of USD 19 billion for its development work in 2007. That’s USD 2 billion more than the previous year. Norway’s contribution that year was USD 901 million.
