New UNDP report: Humanity remains deeply unequal

-The richest eight per cent of the world’s population earns half of the world’s total income, while the remaining 92 per cent of people are left with the other half, said head of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Helen Clark at the launch of the organization’s new report: Humanity Divided: Confronting Inequality in Divided Countries.
The report emphasizes the need for a shift towards more inclusive growth in order to help the poor and low-income households out of poverty in a faster pace than average. This requires both redistributive policies and changes in social norms. Reducing inequality in a sustainable way is key in the post-2015 agenda.
