Norway's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Morten Wetland, presented Norway's statements on the situation in the Middle East to the Security Council on January 27, 2010. Ambassador Wetland stressed the need for a clear political horizon and a set timeframe in order to keep the two-state solution clearly in sight.

Norway's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Mona Juul, presented Norway's statement on the Situation in Afghanistan to the Security Council on January 6, 2010. Ambassador Juul stressed that the UN should continue to play the leading role in coordinating all policial and international support for Afghanistan.
