Secretary-General, Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to congratulate you, Mr Secretary-General. The initiative you launched a year ago here in New York has become a great success. “Every Woman, Every Child” has rallied world leaders, civil society and private actors in a concerted effort to reduce maternal and child mortality.
