On October 27, 2010 Norway's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Morten Wetland presented Norway's statement in the Fourth Committee on "Comprehensive review of the whole question of peacekeeping operations in all their aspects".

Minister Counsellor Knut Langeland presented Norway's statement to the General Assembly's First Committee in the "Thematic discussion on other weapons of mass destruction".

On behalf of the Nordic countries, Norwegian Counsellor Åsmund Eriksen presented a statement to the General Assembly's Sixth Committee. The statement was on the theme of "Diplomatic protection".

Nordic statement in the Sixth Committee of the General Assembly on the "Status of the Protocols Additional to the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and relating to the protection of victims of armed conflict". The statement was delivered by Mr. Hilding Lundkvist, First Secretary with the Permanent Mission of Sweden to the UN.

On behalf of the Nordic countries, Norwegian Counsellor Åsmund Eriksen presented a statement to the Sixth Committee on October 18, 2010. The statement addressed "Consideration of effective measures to enhance the protection, security and safety of diplomatic and consular missions and representatives".

Ambassador Terje Hauge from the Section for Humanitarian Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, presented Norway's statement to the First Committee in the "Thematic discussion on conventional weapons". Ambassador Hauge pointed to Norway's enduring commitment to humanitarian disarmament, including the work with the Convention of Cluster Munitions.
