The Commission on the Status of Women is the principal global policy-making body dedicated exclusively to gender equality and advancement of women. This year’s priority theme is elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls.
Every year, representatives of Member States gather at United Nations Headquarters in New York to evaluate progress on gender equality, identify challenges, set global standards and formulate concrete policies to promote gender equality and women's empowerment worldwide. The Norwegian Minister of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion, Inga Marte Thorkildsen, will be attending CSW from March 4th to March 7th.

The equal sharing of responsibilities between women and men, including caregiving in the context of HIV/AIDS
